Savage Run Yes, i am a pen and paper RPG geek. most of the time i am the game master. after a long period of time where i didnt play, i started to play Savage Worlds about half a year ago. a long time ago i played "The black eye" or "das schwarze augo", which was my first roleplaying game. a great one by the way. i always fancied shadowrun but never got to have a shadowrun group where i could play. i also hate D&D, but thats another story :) so back to savage worlds. i like that its such a rules-lite engine. at first we had some mercenary-scenarios where i put my group into todays-columbia and bankok. one of the players complained though and said he wanted more fantasy. i was already fed up with mastering standard-fantasy games so i looked for an alternative. so we then later started a campaign of iron dynasty. its a feudal-japanese fantasy setting with some steampunk elements. imagine ninja-mages... how cool is that?  :) ok, so we are in the middle o

Recent news Just mutually broke up with my girlfriend after 3 years and 1 year of separation. My last working day at my old employee was 2 days ago after i told them i'd quit a month earlier.... after 4 years and 11 months there. I also didnt go on bad terms, they'd want me back in one way or another. But I need to see what I want to do in the future. Interesting times lie ahead and the world is waiting to be explored  :) Others might feel intimidated by such a thing or afraid. Hm, I dont think i am afraid. Maybe a bit intimidated. But mostlry curious. Strange feeling though... Others would post this on facebook, but as a refuser of all that Web 2.0 stuff, i thought writing a blog entry was more appropriate. Its also better for keeping  record when-what-happened :) Maybe the blog will find more posts in the recent future because of those facts...

Finally after many years I made it enough of a priority to get around to some good old pen and paper roleplaying! problem was that i did not find enough people interested to do it with me... even though the problem that nobody wants to master is solved quite easily: i do it if nobody else wants to do it and i quite enjoy it too. well, finally i got enough people interested (or so i thought). back in the old days i played DSA => Das Schwarze Auge, or The Black Eye as it is called in english. there are some computer games currently quite known, the Drakensang series, which play in that world. DSA is nice, but I already mastered so many DSA games that i didnt want to do that any more... i wanted something new. being a hater of all D&D editions (ruleswise and settings wise) i needed to look elsewhere. i am quite interested in shadowrun but the complexity of the rules shocked me. when you are playing as the master, then it is crucial that you have a good grasp of the rules.
